Installation

Welcome to the Fixmo Tools User Guide. This guide will help you explore the various applications that come in Fixmo Tools.

Let's start with Installation:

When installation is complete, a Fixmo Tools icon appears on your BlackBerry. Its location may vary depending on your model and what theme you're using, but it is usually added to your Downloads folder.

To move the Fixmo Tools icon to your BlackBerry's main screen:

  1. Go to the Downloads folder.
  2. Click the menu button on the Fixmo Tools icon and select Move to Folder.
    Select Home.
  3. The Fixmo Tools icon now appears on the main screen of your BlackBerry. Click on this icon to access Fixmo Tools utilities.
Supported Models

Fixmo Tools requires BlackBerry™ OS version 4.5 and higher, on the following models:

  • BlackBerry Curve™ 83xx/85xx/8900
  • BlackBerry™ 8800
  • BlackBerry Tour™ 9630
  • BlackBerry Bold™ 9000, 9700, 9650**
  • BlackBerry Storm™*
  • BlackBerry Storm2™*

*Note: If you have installed on a BlackBerry Storm™ or Storm2™ model, Fixmo operates in portrait mode only. As well, compatibility mode must be turned off. To turn off compatibility mode, go to Options > Applications, find Fixmo on your list of applications, click the menu button, and disable compatibility mode.

**Note: There is a known issue with regards to Battery Watch not showing statistics for the Bold 9650 BlackBerry.

Permissions

Fixmo Tools requires certain permissions in order to run on a BlackBerry. If you are an Enterprise user on a Blackberry Enterprise Server™ (BES) installation, you may not be allowed to change the permissions on your device. You may want to contact your IT Administrator for advice before installing Fixmo Tools.
